New sports portal: Regensburg clubs present themselves online
The city of Regensburg has launched a new online portal that is specifically dedicated to the region's sports and shooting clubs. This information portal offers a clear platform on which over 160 clubs can present their offers. Here, users not only find information about sports, but also about contact persons, training times and the respective sports facilities. Clubs also have the opportunity to upload current news, pictures and videos from their sports operations in order to inform the public about their activities.
“With this new sports portal, we want to help people in Regensburg discover the diverse sports opportunities in their area,” explains Mayor Astrid Freudenstein. The portal allows users to search specifically for specific sports or to get an overview of the sports facilities in their district. This should help more people become active and interested in sporting activities.
A long-held wish
The sports portal was a long-awaited project of the sports advisory board, which is committed to promoting sports in the city. Armin Zimmermann, spokesman for the sports committee and chairman of the Regensburg Legionnaires' Association. V., was pleased with the introduction of the portal: "It is a great opportunity to better communicate our wide range of sports. At the same time, the clubs can present themselves online and share their news. I hope that all clubs will register quickly and actively participate."
