Accessibility in the city of Cologne
In addition to the closures mentioned, it is important to mention the accessibility of municipal facilities. In Cologne, entrance areas are fully accessible for wheelchair users and there are marked disabled parking spaces available. Elevators are also wheelchair accessible and offer audible floor announcements and tactile controls that can be operated while seated. A central disabled toilet is located on the ground floor, while additional toilet facilities are available on each floor. Taxi stops are set up in front of the building on Dillenburger Straße, as stadt-koeln.de informs.
This information is important for citizens to take into account the planned closures and opening times and to be able to use the relevant services in a timely manner.
