The Lappersdorf market library is preparing for the upcoming Library Day, which will be celebrated on October 24, 2024. On this special day, various events are planned that are intended to appeal to both children and adults. Through these activities, the library aims to promote interest in books and stories and bring the community together.
One of the main attractions is the Punch and Judy show, which will take place on Monday, October 21, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. The Bavarian Puppet Theater performs the play “Pussy and the Little Castle Ghost”. In this entertaining story, Kasperl goes on a nighttime adventure in the forest to find out if it is haunted. Since his friend Seppl is sick, Kasperl has to go off alone. Children are welcome to help him on his adventure. Entry costs 7 euros.
Diverse events for all age groups
On Thursday, October 24th, 2024, at 3:00 p.m., the storyteller Oliver Machander will be in the library and tell the popular fairy tale “The Bremen Town Musicians”. This classic fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm is about four animals who experience many exciting adventures in search of a better life. Participation in this event is free and offers a great opportunity for children to immerse themselves in the world of fairy tales.
For slightly older children there will be a scary night on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Here, primary school children can hear exciting stories and take part in scary games. This event is also free and promises a lot of fun and thrills.
Another highlight is the escape game “In the clutches of the AI,” which will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In this game, participants have to solve tricky puzzles to escape a fictional situation. Since the number of participants is limited, interested parties aged 16 and over are advised to register in advance.
