Free senior tour: On a discovery tour through Lappersdorf!

On Thursday, November 13, 2025, there will be an information tour for senior citizens, which will be accompanied by First Mayor Christian Hauner. The aim of the event is to present and view current projects in the market area. This initiative is organized by the municipality of Lappersdorf, which has long been creating dedicated offers for older citizens. Departure is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. from Kareth Church, and participants can board at several stops, including Oppersdorf and Lappersdorf Stachus.

The tour is rounded off with a cozy coffee and cake for all participants. The return journey will take place from 4:30 p.m. in the reverse order of stops. Registration is required and must be made in the town hall, secretariat by October 31, 2025 at the latest. Those interested are asked to provide their name, address, desired stop for boarding and a telephone number.

Other senior tours in the region

Parallel to the activities in Lappersdorf, there is also another senior tour that will take place in Nittendorf on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025. This event is also aimed at older citizens who are interested in their community and what it has to offer. Participation in the tour is free and requires registration as the number of participants is limited to 100 people. The principle applies here: first come, first served.

The Nittendorfer Rundfahrt has an embedded structure where there are two different bus schedules. The first bus starts at 1:30 p.m. from Penk and has several stops, including Etterzhausen and the elementary school as the first stop on the tour. The tour itself lasts about an hour, followed by arrival at the generation meeting place.

In addition to these tours, the German Society for Senior Counseling offers a variety of lectures for seniors and their relatives. Topics such as “Eating a healthy and age-appropriate diet” or “Preventing falls – maintaining mobility” can be addressed. The lectures are available year-round, and seniors can register for the events using their place of residence or zip code.
