Dirt Bike Park opening: celebration canceled due to weather conditions

The opening of the new dirt bike park, which was planned for October 11, 2024, unfortunately has to be canceled. This was announced today by the city administration. The reason for the cancellation is the unfavorable weather conditions of the last few days, which have significantly affected the construction work.

During an on-site appointment on Monday, it was determined that the soil was not suitable for the necessary finishing work due to the persistent moisture. In addition, further rainfall is expected in the coming days, which does not improve the situation. The city has stressed that the safety of users is paramount and the facility cannot open until all work is completed and conditions are safe.

Current status of construction work

Although the dirt bike park has already been largely completed, there is still some remaining work to be done. This work can only be carried out in dry weather. The contracted specialist company is ready to continue the work immediately as soon as the weather conditions improve. The city administration hopes that construction work can resume in the coming weeks.
