On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the city of Hemau invites you to the traditional Michaelmas market. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. the city area is transformed into a lively market. However, in order to run this event smoothly, some important traffic adjustments are necessary.

The through town of Hemau will be completely closed on this day. The section from Oberen Stadtplatz to Regensburger Straße is affected. This measure also affects public transport connections, especially RVV line 28.

Detours and stops

Line 28 will be diverted in both directions to the “Hemau Shopping Center” stop. The diversion takes place via “Haager Straße” and “Beratzhausener Straße” to the “Hemau Post” stop. The “Hemau Stadtplatz” and “Hemau Förderschule” stops cannot be served during the closure. However, alternative stops are available for passengers. These are located at the “Hemau Shopping Center” and “Hemau Post” points.

For an uncomplicated visit to the Michaelimarkt, there are sufficient free parking spaces in the city area. The parking areas at the Volksfestplatz or at the Tangrintelhalle are recommended. Please note that the parking lot in Pfalz-Neuburg-Allee is a paid private parking lot.
