The compost sites in the Regensburg district close due to the season. The closure affects the locations in Beratzhausen, Regenstauf and the Pollenried green waste storage area. From December 9, 2024, these spaces will no longer be open to the public.
Last opening
On Saturday, December 7, 2024, citizens can deliver their waste from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. From December 9, 2024, larger deliveries that cannot be postponed, especially commercial ones, are only possible after prior registration with the Regensburg district. The telephone number for this is 0941/4009-363. This regulation also applies to Christmas tree collection campaigns by communities and other organizations.
Christmas tree opening hours
On Saturday, January 11, 2025, the compost sites in Beratzhausen and Regenstauf as well as the green waste storage area in Pollenried will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Natural Christmas trees and Advent wreaths can be delivered on this day. It is important that these are without Christmas decorations, paint and snow spray, wires and tinsel. The delivery of compostable green waste is also possible, as is the purchase of compost.

From March 1, 2025, the compost sites can be used again during the usual opening hours. Citizens are asked to observe the delivery conditions.
