The Hemau City Library has come up with something very special! On Sunday, September 22, 2024, it will open its doors as part of the Michaelmas Market and invites all book lovers to explore the library from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. There are lots of exciting activities suitable for both children and adults.
It will be an exciting experience, especially for the little visitors. You can decorate yourself with glitter tattoos, which will certainly bring a lot of joy. There are also skill games that challenge both the little ones and the big ones. Adults have the opportunity to play a quiz on their smartphone that revolves around the city library and the Zehntstadel. Not only can they have fun, but they can also learn more about the library and its location.
A look into the city library
The Hemau City Library has been located on the first floor of the Zehntstadel for over two decades. In a spacious area of 300 square meters, more than 12,000 media are available to visitors. This includes not only books and magazines, but also eBooks, CDs, DVDs and the popular tonies and tiptoi media. With around 800 active users and around 50,000 loans per year, the library is an important contact point for the Hemauer population.
