On Sunday, September 8, 2024, a very special event will be celebrated in Hemau: The Hemau Women's Association is celebrating its 50th anniversary. On this anniversary, everyone is warmly invited to take part in the celebrations, which begin with a festive church procession. At around 9 a.m. the procession will set off from the town hall to the parish church of St. Johannes, followed by a procession that will lead from the church to the Ferstl-Bruckmeier inn on Beratzhausener Straße around 10:30 a.m.
Preparations for this special day are already in full swing. However, the city administration has indicated that there will be short-term full closures during the celebrations. The areas affected are Riedenburger Straße, Stadtplatz, Obere Stadtplatz and Beratzhausener Straße. These closures are necessary to ensure the safety of participants and to enable the events to run smoothly.
Traffic disruptions and diversions
The city of Hemau has also pointed out that there may be disruptions on RVV line 28 during the celebrations. The exact impact on local public transport has not yet been fully clarified, but no diversion will be set up. The city asks citizens to understand the inconvenience that the celebrations may cause.
