Experience the Cargobike Roadshow: Testing e-cargo bikes in Regensburg!

The Cargobike Roadshow is on the road again and will stop in Regensburg on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2024. From 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. anyone interested can stop by St.-Kassians-Platz and find out about the latest e-cargo bikes. This event offers an excellent opportunity to try out different models and get advice from experts, without the focus being on sales.

The event aims to showcase the benefits of cargo bikes. These eco-friendly bikes are not only practical for transporting children or shopping, but are also a great solution for commercial applications. Cargo bikes make it possible to ride through traffic and avoid traffic jams with zero emissions. Florian Plajer, the planning and construction officer, emphasizes the importance of such initiatives: “The Cargobike Roadshow is a great opportunity to promote cycling and get citizens excited about sustainable mobility.”

Diverse testing options

A total of twelve different e-cargo bikes are available at the roadshow, which visitors can test for free. These bikes are equipped with an electric drive that makes driving easier and offer special bodies for private use, especially for families with children. Many of the models can also be converted for commercial purposes, making them particularly versatile.

In addition to the test rides, there are information stands where the city of Regensburg provides information about funding opportunities for e-cargo bikes. Local bicycle shops such as 'Feineräder' from Regensburg and 'Bikezeit' from Neutraubling are also on site and present a wide range of cargo bikes, special bikes and bicycle trailers. These collaborations support citizens in finding the mobility solutions that are right for them.
