New nature conservation advisory board in Regensburg: experts for nature
The Nature Conservation Advisory Board at the Regensburg District Office has recently reorganized itself to take on important tasks in the area of nature conservation. These advisory boards consist of experts who support the nature conservation authorities in Bavaria. Members are appointed for a period of five years and the current term began on September 1, 2024, with the previous term ending on August 31, 2024.
The new members of the Nature Conservation Advisory Board were introduced at a ceremonial meeting that took place on the last day of the old term of office. District Administrator Tanja Schweiger welcomed the experts who come from various areas of nature conservation. The new members include Dr. Albrecht Muscholl-Silberhorn, Christoph Bauer, Torsten Mierswa, Raoul Kreienmeier and Reinhard Neft. These experts bring valuable knowledge of nature conservation, landscape management and biology.
Important role of the nature conservation advisory board
In her speech, Tanja Schweiger emphasized the importance of the Nature Conservation Advisory Board. She emphasized that members play a crucial role in all important conservation issues. “I thank you for your commitment to this responsible and voluntary work,” she said. The topics relating to nature and environmental protection are becoming increasingly important and are presenting nature conservation authorities with new challenges.
The meeting also offered the opportunity to say goodbye to the departing members of the previous term of office. District Administrator Schweiger thanked Alfons Hahn and the deputies Johann Mayer and Albert Karl for their valuable contribution to the region and the common good.
