New bus connections in the Regensburg district from September 10, 2024
From September 10, 2024, some new regulations will come into force in regional bus transport in the Regensburg district, which are particularly important for students and commuters. These changes are planned for the start of the school year and are intended to improve accessibility to the various stops.
One of the most important innovations concerns the call bus line 900, which runs between Falkenstein and Wörth. Newly added stops include Wörth (Donau) Petersplatz, Sandweg Ausfl. Restaurant and Wiedenrös. These extensions are intended to offer passengers more flexibility and make it easier to connect to important points in the district.
Changes to lines 36/37
Lines 36 and 37, which run from Frauenzell via Brennberg to Regensburg HBF, are also undergoing adjustments. The Hechthof and Innenlehen stops will be integrated into certain timetables, improving connections for users. In addition, the departure times in Himmelmühle have changed slightly to better meet the needs of passengers.
Another important point is the morning departure from Forsthof, which now starts at 6:45 a.m. in Wörth a.d.Donau. This earlier connection could be particularly beneficial for students who want to get to school on time.
Optimizations on line 5A
Line 5A, which connects Zinzendorf with Regensburg Hbf, will have an additional connection in the afternoon. This new trip starts at 4:35 p.m. at the Wörth Reitfeld stop and reaches the Wörth-Wiesent business park at 4:47 p.m. This creates a faster connection for working people who want to get home after a long day at work.
It is also worth mentioning that the Barbing stop is no longer served in the morning during high-speed student transport. This affects the departures at 7:03 a.m. from Wörth a.d.Donau and at 7:15 a.m. from Wiesent Ost. These adjustments are part of ongoing efforts to optimize bus service in the district.
