Carnival parade and BERATZSAUSE 2026: Celebrate until the last minute!
Next Sunday, February 14, 2026, the big carnival festival, known as BERATZSAUSE, will be celebrated in Beratzhausen. The highlight of the festival is the traditional carnival procession, which will march at 2 p.m. on Staufferstrasse, at the former Edeka. Participants can arrive and line up on Staufferstrasse from 12:30 p.m. The train will pass through Marktstrasse and stop at several key points, including the Moderationsbühne and Pfraundorfer Strasse, before finally moving to Volksfestplatz.
Five sales outlets along the train route, which are open from 1 p.m. and offer a wide range of food and drinks, ensure the physical well-being of festival visitors. From 3:00 p.m. the band “Aufzundn” will provide live music and a good atmosphere at Johann-Ehrl-Platz. The open-air carnival festival, the BERATZSAUSE, is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. at the Volksfestplatz. The event is a lively festival with many attractions, even if a tent cannot be set up this year due to railway renovations.
Safety regulations and festival details
Visitors to the festival must be prepared for certain safety precautions. Glass bottles, cannabis and knives are prohibited both in the carnival procession and on the festival grounds. In addition, the area between the Hummel inn and the roundabout will be closed until midnight to ensure smooth operations. The organizers, the Prinzengarde Beratzhausen e. V., cordially invite all citizens to take part in this festive event and celebrate together.
The after-show party at the Volksfestplatz is complemented by DJ music and catering options in the “Budendorf”, where sausages, schnitzel, beer and schnapps are served, among other things. Legs who would like to find out more in advance have the opportunity to view the list of groups taking part in the carnival procession. Participants include Heaven and Hell, the Prinzengarde Beratzhausen e.V. and the Lupburg brass band.
Looking forward to Rose Monday
The celebrations will culminate on Shrove Monday, February 16, 2026. From 6:00 p.m. there will be a large sweepstakes in the multi-purpose hall with a program by the Prinzen and Kindergarden. Admission is free - but an ID card is required. Those responsible have prepared an exciting program that will bring the crazy time to a fitting end.
The anticipation for the events is already palpable and the community is invited to come together to celebrate the colorful carnival season. The entire Prinzengarde team is looking forward to an unforgettable day with lots of happy faces and an exuberant atmosphere.
