Carnival highlights in Beratzhausen: BeratzSause inspires despite the rain!
The 2025/2026 carnival session in Beratzhausen was a complete success, boasting a variety of exciting events. This is what the website reports beratzhausen.com. The highlights of the session included the enthronement ball, a guard meeting, as well as numerous smaller balls and children's carnival offerings that put the community in a festive mood.
The biggest event was the “BeratzSause” and the associated carnival parade, which took place on Saturday. 39 groups took part in this major event, with a total of around 2,000 active participants. Despite the rainy weather, around 10,000 spectators found their way to the train to experience the colorful costumes and the happy atmosphere.
Entertainment and organization
The Beratzhausen band “Aufzundn” provided the musical accompaniment and created a great atmosphere at Johann-Ehrl-Platz. The carnival procession program was led by the moderators Herbert Gabriel and Alexander Herold. The organizing committees had previously developed a new concept for the carnival festival at the Volksfestplatz, in which there was no tent or fencing in order to avoid crowds.
The fairgrounds were open for music and entertainment during the festivities, which attracted approximately 4,000 guests. Feedback on the security measures was also positive, both for the police and the Red Cross, who successfully completed their tasks. In addition, important starting points for further developing the event were collected in order to make future carnival festivals even better.

Special thanks went to the organization team, the train organization team, the participating clubs as well as all helpers, the building yard, the fire department and the medical service.
