Give the joy of reading: Looking for volunteer mentors for children!
The association “Mentor – The Reading Learning Helpers Weiden – Neustadt e.V.”, which was founded in 2020, is looking for committed volunteers who are willing to work with school children once a week. The aim is to introduce children to the joy of reading in a 45-minute session. This volunteer work not only provides valuable support for the students, but also an enriching experience for the mentors themselves.
Promoting reading is an important topic because many children have difficulty reading. Through individual support, the mentors can specifically address the children's needs and help them improve their reading skills. In the long term, this can lead to better academic performance and strengthen children's self-confidence.
