New speed displays for Leuchtenberg, Waidhaus and Co.

Friday was a special day for the communities of Leuchtenberg, Waidhaus, Moosbach, Pleystein and Bechtsrieth. They ceremonially received the new TempoSys devices, which are now being installed at the construction yard in Vohenstrauß. These speed indicators are an important step towards improving road safety in the region.

The first mayor of Vohenstrauß, Andreas Wutzlhofer, who also chairs the “Citizens and Police” association, was visibly pleased with the handover of the devices. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives to increase safety on the roads. The mayors of the participating communities gratefully received the devices.

Financial support for communities

A significant aspect of this handover is the financial support provided by the “Citizens and Police” association. A subsidy of €400.00 is granted for each device, which represents a significant relief for the communities. This funding demonstrates the association's commitment to promoting road safety and supporting communities in their efforts.

The community of Bechtsrieth expresses its heartfelt thanks to the “Citizens and Police” association. Such collaborations are crucial to improving the quality of life in communities and increasing safety for all road users. The new speed indicators will help make drivers aware of the applicable speed limits and therefore avoid accidents.
