JURA Folk Festival 2024: Special tickets and important information for visitors
The JURA folk festival will take place from August 9th to 19th, 2024, and there is some important information for everyone who wants to travel by public transport. The city has set up special tickets for the special trips, which are available from the driving staff. These tickets are a convenient way to enjoy the festivities without having to worry about parking.
The prices for the single tickets are as follows: adults pay €2.10, while children aged 6 to 14 pay just €1.00 for one journey. Families can purchase a particularly affordable ticket, which is available for two adults and their children up to the age of 17 for just €5.50. For visitors who would like to visit the folk festival several times, there is a folk festival ticket. This ticket costs €13.00 for one person and €19.00 for a family. This ticket allows unlimited use of the special trips, making it an attractive option for families.
Important information about tickets
It is important to note that the Volksfest ticket is only valid in conjunction with an official photo ID. If the ticket is lost or not used, there is no right to a refund. Tickets are recognized on special afternoons, such as the family afternoon and the seniors' afternoon, from 12:00 p.m. On working days, the tickets can be used for travel to the folk festival from 5:11 p.m. For the horse and foal show on Monday, August 19th, tickets are valid from the start of operations.
The city points out that no tickets according to the VGN or RVV tariff are accepted for the special trips, including the Germany ticket. The central stops for all city bus lines are in the parking lot on St.-Florian-Straße, directly opposite the fire station. In order to receive a food voucher, visitors must purchase a Volksfest ticket in advance at Stadtwerke Neumarkt, Ingolstädter-Straße 18. This offer is only valid while stocks last.
Advance ticket sales begin on Thursday, August 1st, 2024, and end on Friday, August 9th, 2024. The sales point is open from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and also from Monday to Thursday from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. It should be noted that advance tickets can only be purchased cashless with an EC card, which could be a change for many.
