A rainy year in 2024 will bring challenges for the Oberhembach community. Heavy rain often led to runoff and flooding. Fortunately, Oberhembach has largely been spared in recent years. Nevertheless, the flood protection concept from 2012 shows that the Oberhembach district is at risk in the event of a so-called 100-year flood. Parts of the residential development could be affected.
Information event on flood protection
The community invites you to an information event. This will take place on Wednesday, November 27th, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. in the Osteria Da Toni in Oberhembach. The event provides information about the flood protection concept and the boden:dauer initiative.

The boden: Constant initiative aims to protect the soil. “The soil should always remain where it brings yield to the farmer and does not harm the waters,” says the press release. The initiative relies on close cooperation between municipalities, farmers and specialist planners.
The municipal administration is looking forward to numerous participation.
