Dedicated helpers wanted: safety for Pyrbaum's school routes

The Pyrbaum market is urgently looking for new school helpers to ensure the safety of those starting school in 2024. These volunteers play a critical role in ensuring children get to and from school safely. Despite the supposed safety of pedestrian crossings, there are still drivers who do not follow traffic rules, which underlines the need for this support.

With the end of the school year, many parents are stepping back from this important service as their children leave school. As a result, several long-standing school helpers who had done valuable work over the years left the school last year. In order to continue to guarantee the safety of the children, new helpers on the way to school are now being sought - be it parents, grandparents or other committed people.

Commitment to children's safety

The new school helpers will be deployed at dangerous traffic points for about half an hour in the morning or at lunchtime, alternating every week. It's your job to make sure students get across the streets safely. The more people participate, the fewer missions are required for each individual, which reduces the burden.

The campaign is supported by the traffic police and the Neumarkt police station, who also offer professional training for the helpers. This ensures that school helpers are well prepared and know how to react in critical situations.

Anyone interested in getting involved in the safety of children can contact the Pyrbaum market directly. Ms Lehmeier is available to answer any questions on 09180 9405 26. Anyone who would like to help is welcome to become part of this important initiative.

Together we can ensure that the “Safe to School – Safe to Home” campaign remains successful and that our children get through traffic safely.
