Senior events in October: memory training and cinema
In October there are a number of exciting events for older citizens in Pölling, organized by the Senior Citizens' Advisory Board. On Monday, October 7th, all seniors are cordially invited to take part in a memory training session at 2:30 p.m. This type of training is particularly important because it helps keep memory active and promotes mental fitness.
At the same time, the seniors' cinema will take place on the same day in the community center in the old school. The film “The Beach” will be shown, starting at 2:30 p.m. Movies are a great way to relax and immerse yourself in another world at the same time. The combination of memory training and film screening offers a fun way to spend the afternoon.
Diverse offers for seniors
An open craft meeting entitled “Hand in Hand” will be offered on Tuesday, October 8th at 2:15 p.m. Here participants can live out their creative skills and exchange ideas with like-minded people. On Wednesday, October 9th, the film “The Beach” will be shown again at the Community Center at 2:30 p.m., providing the opportunity to see the film if you were unable to attend on Monday.
Another highlight is the coffee klatch, which will take place on October 23rd at 2:00 p.m. in the community center. This requires registration, which can be done by calling 09181/46400. The Kaffeeklatsch is a wonderful opportunity to chat in a friendly atmosphere over a cup of coffee.
On Wednesday, October 30th, there will be another film in the community center, this time called “In a Taxi with Madeleine”, which starts at 2:30 p.m. In addition, the VDK nursing get-together will take place on the same day at 3 p.m. and is open to anyone interested.
