Topping out ceremony in Harrling: A new meeting place for the community is created

On Wednesday, an important event was celebrated in Harrling: the topping-out ceremony for the new village hall, also known as the “Event Stadium”. The atmosphere was full of joy as Mayor Hans Laumer welcomed numerous guests, including representatives of the companies involved, local councilors and the local clergy. The celebrations marked an important milestone in the construction process that brings the village community together.

The patience of the residents during the construction work was particularly emphasized. Mayor Laumer thanked them very much for their understanding and assured that the schedule would be adhered to. “We are on schedule and will put up a maypole here for the first time on May 1st,” he said optimistically. This shows the community's commitment to completing the new events center on time.

A local team at work

Another pleasing aspect of the project is the involvement of local craftsmen. Mayor Laumer emphasized that two employees of the Suttner carpentry business in Haselbach, Thomas Haimerl and Patrick Maier, come from the community. This not only supports the local economy, but also strengthens the sense of community. Project manager Haimerl recited the traditional topping-out saying after the topping-out tree decorated with colorful ribbons was attached to the roof. The topping-out message, which expressed thanks and wishes for the new building, was rewarded with great applause.

After the ceremony, all guests were invited to enjoy food and drinks. Master butcher Martin Fleischmann and his wife Anita took care of everyone's physical well-being by preparing delicious schnitzel and potato salad. The celebration was not only an occasion to celebrate, but also an opportunity for the villagers to meet and toast the new village house in a convivial atmosphere.
