Weiding shows heart: 138 citizens donate blood for lifesavers
In Weiding, the citizens have once again demonstrated their willingness to help. Last Friday, 138 donors gathered at Chambtal Elementary School to donate their blood, an act that can save lives. Among these donors were five people who were taking part in a blood donation campaign for the first time. Around 2,000 blood donations are needed every day in Bavaria, which underlines the importance of such events.
The Bavarian Red Cross (BRK) team, led by the Amann family, was pleased with the high number of participants. Lydia Amann, who led the event, warmly thanked the donors and at the same time praised the committed support of her helpers. This collaboration is crucial to successfully carry out such actions. After the donation, participants were treated to a selection of food and drinks, which lightened the atmosphere of the event.
Honors and awards
A special highlight of the event was the honoring of the first-time donors and the “anniversary donors,” who were recognized for their repeated donations. Such recognitions are important to motivate donors and strengthen the community. The next opportunity to donate blood will take place on December 6, 2024 at Chambtal Elementary School. Those interested are asked to register in advance to avoid long waiting times.
Donating blood is not just a simple act, but a significant contribution to the health and safety of the community. Every donor can save lives and provide a valuable service to society with their donation. Organizing such events is a team effort that brings both donors and helpers together and raises awareness about the need for blood donations.
