Summer festival for the parish seniors: An afternoon full of joy in Dalking
Dalking. A happy summer party for the parish seniors was recently held in the parish hall, which featured a variety of delicacies. The event not only featured hearty barbecue dishes, but also a selection of sweet treats that delighted guests. The return of Pastor Franz Merl, who was present again in July after his annual vacation, was particularly pleasing. This created a warm atmosphere, which was supported by chairwoman Jutta Weingärtner and other prominent guests such as Mayor Daniel Paul and honorary citizen Konrad Schreiner.
A committed team
The preparations for the festival were made by a dedicated team of helpers led by Weingärtner, who took intensive care of the organization in advance. Their efforts were rewarded with a successful afternoon in which the older generation of the parish and community came together to enjoy the conviviality. Local councilor Günter Theuerl, who acts as senior representative, ensured that the guests were treated to tasty grilled dishes. The ladies of the team were also busy and had prepared a variety of cakes and coffee to round off the afternoon.
Pastor Franz Merl took the opportunity to thank the helpers for their commitment and emphasized the importance of cohesion in the community. These types of events not only promote community, but also provide a platform for interaction between generations. The positive response from participants shows that such celebrations are a valuable tradition that needs to be preserved.
