In Weiding, the volunteer fire department recently completed a significant achievement badge that demonstrates the hard work and commitment of its members. Mayor Daniel Paul was personally present to recognize the firefighters' achievements. The entire leadership of the Weidinger Wehr, consisting of the three commanders and the two chairmen, was also represented. District fire inspector Marco Greil and district fire chief Anton Bierl were also on site to accompany the inspection. Andreas Bauer acted as referee and ensured that the event ran smoothly.
The firefighters had prepared intensively for this day in advance. Many hours were invested in the training under the guidance of instructors such as Michael Nachreiner and Andreas Ederer. The goal was to learn the necessary skills and successfully demonstrate them on the day of the exam. After the exam badges were handed over, the feedback was consistently positive. Greil praised the troupe's exemplary performance and emphasized that the exam was very successful. Nachreiner was also happy about the joint effort and teamwork that was evident during the intensive practice phase.
Successful exams and team spirit
Commander Alwin Schmelzinger beamed with joy at his team's commitment. This year it was the sixth successful test for the extinguishing and technical assistance group of the Weiding fire department. What was particularly notable was that the audit took place during Fire Safety Week, which deserves additional respect. The examinees who are actively involved in operations make an important contribution to the safety of the community. Mayor Paul warmly thanked the firefighters for their free commitment, who continue to work for the common good on a beautiful late summer afternoon.
The Weiding fire department has proven to be excellently positioned, which the mayor also confirmed. He was once again able to convince himself that he was able to handle the equipment safely. To properly round off the successful day, a shared snack was held at the Feil Inn, where the firefighters and their supporters were able to celebrate their success.
