Marriage anniversary in Dalking: Couples celebrate 60 years of love and more
A very special occasion was celebrated in Dalking on Saturday: the marriage anniversary in the local parish. After a moving Holy Mass, the couples gathered in the parish hall, where the parish council, led by Antonia Wutz, had created a festive atmosphere. The preparations were extensive to ensure that the celebrating couples had an unforgettable evening. The invited couples had previously taken part in the celebration of the Holy Mysteries in the parish church.
The church choir was not only responsible for the musical arrangement of the service, but also for the subsequent celebration in the parish hall. Community representative Silvia Fuchs selected a suitable reading, while Deacon Alfred Dobler read the Gospel. In his sermon, the priest emphasized the importance of trust in your partner, which is crucial for a functioning marriage in every situation. To lighten the mood, Fuchs played the well-known song “Always, again and again the sun rises” by Udo Jürgens.
Festive celebrations in the parish hall
After mass we went to the parish hall, where a delicious buffet was waiting for the guests. The hard-working helpers of the parish council made sure that nothing was missing. Each celebrating couple received a certificate and a rose as a sign of recognition. Thomas Meindl, a member of the parish council, presented interesting anecdotes and events from the couple's marriage years on a screen. A special surprise was the presentation of wedding pictures that brought back many memories.
The musical accompaniment by the church choir gave the celebration a special touch. The guests rounded off the evening in a convivial atmosphere with coffee and cake. The honored couples who celebrated a marriage anniversary this year were:
