Adventures in the bouldering world: Weidinger children experience unforgettable holidays
There was recently an exciting event for the young people of the community in Weiding. The Herrnholzschützen and the Weiding youth fire brigade jointly organized a holiday program that took the children and young people to the bouldering world in Regensburg. The participants set off in a fully occupied minibus, full of anticipation of the climbing and the challenges that would await them there.
On Friday at 1 p.m. the children and young people gathered at the fire station. The excitement was palpable as they prepared for the various climbing walls. After a short introduction and warm-up training by the two trainers, we started. The children, who were at least six years old, had the opportunity to test their skills at different levels of difficulty. The trainers used varied games to ensure that the participants remained active and motivated.
An unforgettable experience
At halftime of the program, the children were allowed into the large hall, where they had the opportunity to boulder on the large wall and also use the outdoor area. After about two hours of physical activity, the experience was rounded off with a shared picnic. The participants were able to fortify themselves with drinks and snacks before heading home at around 5:30 p.m. The holiday leisure program was a complete success with over 20 registrations and put smiles on the faces of the children and carers.
The bouldering world has proven to be an excellent location for such an event as it not only offers fun and exercise, but also promotes team spirit and social interaction. The combination of sporting activity and communal experience is certainly something the young participants will remember.
