Reading hour for children: Every first Monday in the city library
The city library has developed into a popular meeting place for young bookworms. Since February of this year, a special reading hour has been offered every first Monday of the month, aimed at kindergarten and school children. This initiative is run by dedicated volunteers who bring stories to life with enthusiasm and passion.
Reading time always begins at 4:30 p.m. and lasts about 30 minutes. It is a wonderful opportunity for children to immerse themselves in the world of books and stimulate their imagination. Parents can simply bring their little ones along, as prior registration is not necessary. This makes it easy for many families to drop by spontaneously and have a great time together.
Dates for reading lessons
The next dates for the reading times have already been set and offer a regular opportunity to visit the library:
- 01.07.24
- 05.08.24
- 16.09.24
- 07.10.24
- 04.11.24
- 02.12.24
Not only are these events a great way for children to discover new stories, but they also encourage an interest in reading. The volunteers who lead these story times often bring their own favorite books, creating a welcoming atmosphere in which children can actively participate. It's a great opportunity to share a love of literature and develop children's imagination.
The city library is pleased about the positive response and hopes that many more children and parents will attend the reading times. It's a simple but powerful way to strengthen community and spread the joy of reading.
