Neukirchen b. Holy Blood: New development plan for photovoltaic system approved

The market town of Neukirchen b. Hl. Blut has taken a significant step towards sustainable energy production. In a public meeting on July 1, 2024, the local council decided to initiate planning for a new photovoltaic system in the “Hochstrasse” special area. This decision is part of the Fourth Zoning Amendment, which aims to promote the use of solar energy in the region.

The approval not only includes the preparation of the development plan, but also early public participation. This means that citizens have the opportunity to actively participate in the planning process. The drafts, which were already prepared on May 2, 2024, were also approved at the meeting. Public participation takes place in accordance with the requirements of the Building Code in order to ensure transparency and participation.

Planning details

As part of the planning, various aspects are taken into account, including the project and development plan, the green space and an environmental report. These documents are crucial for assessing the impact of the photovoltaic system on the environment and ensuring that all legal requirements are met. The land use planning is carried out in parallel, which means that the changes to the land use plan and the development plan are processed at the same time.

The “Hochstrasse” photovoltaic system is intended to help convert the community’s energy supply to renewable sources. This is an important step towards a greener future and could also bring long-term economic benefits for the region. Citizens are invited to find out about the plans and contribute their opinions in order to work together towards sustainable development.
