Wind energy in focus: Participation process for Regensburg regional plan

An important process for planning wind energy areas is currently being carried out in the Regensburg region. The Regensburg Regional Planning Association has launched a participation process that deals with updating the regional plan. The aim of this initiative is to identify specific areas that are suitable for the use of wind energy. This affects the districts of Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz, Regensburg and Cham as well as the city of Regensburg.

Participation deadline and contact information

The deadline for written comments on the plans ends on October 4, 2024. Until this date, all interested parties have the opportunity to submit their opinions and suggestions in writing to the regional planning association.
