New shop Zur Rosl” celebrates opening at the Hahnbach Advent market!
The market town of Hahnbach is preparing for the coming Advent season. The focus is particularly on the Advent market, which will take place on November 29th and 30th, 2025. The opening will take place on November 29th at 3:30 p.m. The guests of honor include Georg Götz, Chairman of the Cultural Committee, Mayor Bernhard Lindner and Pastor Michael Birner, who will introduce the event together with hunting horn players. In order to support the local clubs, 41 grant applications were successfully approved, totaling 7,535 euros, of which 5,360 euros were for important youth work.
The Advent market program promises a varied experience for young and old. On the first day, the children from the “The Good Shepherd” sweet kindergarten will perform at 4 p.m., followed by the “Rattlestorks” Hahnbach kindergarten children at 5 p.m. The second market day opens at 2 p.m. and offers a performance by the Hahnbacher Marktbläser's NachwuX at 3:30 p.m., while the children from the “Blumenwiese” kindergarten can also present their talents. Nicholas will distribute sweets on both days, and there will be musical performances by the Hahnbacher Marktbläser at 5 p.m.
Culinary offerings and market activity
The culinary diversity is rounded off by local stalls. The KBV offers grilled sausages, the girls' group serves chocolate fruits and hot Aperol, while the KLJB Iber takes care of waffles and punch. The women's association attracts people with punch and Christmas decorations. In addition, stalls with Christmas decorations and gift items, including turned wooden items and LED Christmas balloons, will create a festive atmosphere.
Another important aspect of this Advent season is the reopening of the “Zur Rosl” offer, which was initiated by Carolin Dietrich. The store's official opening is scheduled for Valentine's Day, February 13th and 14th, 2026. However, the range will be presented at the Hahnbach Advent market. Carolin came up with the idea for this project during a walk along the Hahnbacher Erlebnisweg, where she discovered a historic building that was in poor condition. The market town acquired the “Sixn-Rosl-Haus” to prevent unwanted tenants. Since May 2025, Dietrich has been working on the renovation of the house, which has a long history as it was previously used by various craftsmen.
Sustainability in focus
A standout feature of the new “Zur Rosl” offering will be the focus on environmentally friendly and sustainable products. Carolin Dietrich will present hand-made arrangements and decorations that are both aesthetically pleasing and ecologically compatible. Her three children are actively involved in the work. Starting on Valentine's Day, the store's planned opening hours will be every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and also from 10 a.m. on Saturdays.
Advent is not only a time of festive celebrations, but also an opportunity for conscious consumption and a return to traditional values. Christmas markets are an integral part of the pre-Christmas tradition in Germany and beyond and offer an ideal platform to support local craftsmen and their sustainable products. The market town of Hahnbach is ready to contribute its part to this festive and sustainable experience.
