On January 7, 2026, the Hahnbach community's New Year's reception took place in the auditorium of the Max Prechtl elementary and middle school. Mayor Bernhard Lindner gave an impressive speech to the approximately 250 guests. The mayor used this traditional reception, which takes place every two years, to wish those present a healthy, happy and peaceful New Year 2026.
In his speech, Lindner looked back on the diverse events and activities of the past year. These included, among other things, the theater of the boys' club, the Christmas tree and bratwurst auctions, the Epiphany meeting of the KAB Hahnbach and the school football tournament of the SV Hahnbach. He also mentioned the royal proclamation of the Edelweiß Süß shooting club, the annual general meeting of the Iber fire department and the water rescue service's Wintervils swimming. Another important point was the mention of the star singer campaigns in the parishes, which contributed to community building.
