The municipal finances for 2025 are also important: the administrative budget is EUR 8,780,000, while the asset budget is EUR 20,444,400. Together, this results in a total budget of EUR 29,225,200, which includes both current expenditure and investments in important projects.
Important developments and projects
The current construction projects include assisted living with 31 new apartments, which is scheduled to be inaugurated on September 12, 2025. In addition, a medical center in Ried will be completed by summer 2025, with the opening of various service providers in December 2025. The cycle path between Hörmannsberg and Kissing started in September 2025 with a budget of EUR 1.24 million, while the canal renewal in Ringstrasse and Sirchenrieder Strasse is planned for EUR 4.65 million.
An outstanding project is the fiber optic house connection, which is offered free of charge to 1,106 eligible addresses. The total investment amounts to EUR 1.96 million, with government funding of EUR 1.76 million expected. Construction began in October 2022 and is expected to be completed by mid-2026 at the latest.
Overall, the community of Ried shows great commitment to youth and senior citizen work, with activities such as monthly hikes and a wishing tree campaign to promote citizen participation. Election workers are also being sought for the 2026 local elections, and five polling stations and three postal voting districts are planned. In addition, the community has established lighthouse locations for disaster response to provide guidance during power outages.
