Citizens in the Augsburg region will have to prepare for changes in the accessibility of the job center in December. The Augsburger Land job center will be temporarily closed on two Thursdays this month.
On December 4, 2025, the branch on Fuggerstraße in Schwabmünchen will be closed from 9:45 a.m. due to an internal event. In addition, the main office on Hermannstrasse in Augsburg will not be accessible from the same date on December 11, 2025. These closures are necessary to optimize the internal processes within the job center. Citizens are asked to take these dates into account when planning and, if necessary, to choose alternative times to present their concerns or attend appointments (gemeinde-merching.de, [landkreis-augsburg.de].
Events for further development
There are also various event formats that are relevant for the job center’s employees. One format is the xFeld, which lasts two days and offers space for experiments and learning processes. The participants work on identifying current challenges and developing innovative solutions (sgb2.info).
Another format is the workshop, which lasts one day and aims to promote the exchange of practical examples. Here participants will find concrete solutions and instructions for their current challenges in everyday work. The topics and key questions are defined by the participants themselves.
Finally, there is a dialogue format that lasts two days and enables an exchange between job centers, politics, science and network partners. The goal is to discuss creative solutions and promote networking. Particular attention is also paid to the sustainability of the events, where criteria such as energy-efficient management and regional catering are taken into account.
The atmosphere is also intended to be improved by the DB event ticket, which enables discounted travel with 100% green electricity and includes a city ticket for environmentally friendly travel between the train station and the event location.
These measures are intended not only to improve the accessibility of the job center, but also to increase the quality of the offers for citizens in the Augsburg region.
